You've probably seen them: rows of puppies sitting in perfect "stay" positions, owners watching every move, trainers focused on obedience drills.
But here's what's missing: Your 10-week-old puppy doesn't need obedience. They need to feel safe. They need to build confidence. They need experiences that shape how they see the world.
Obedience doesn't answer your questions about puppy development; the nipping and jumping and peeing. The truth? Early socialization isn't about control. It's about emotional development. And the difference between the two will define your dog's entire life.
Science-Driven, Force-Free Methods. Every interaction is designed by behavior experts who understand canine emotional development. No prong collars. No dominance myths. Just proven, compassionate techniquest that work with your puppy's natural learning process.
Socialization That Actually Prepares Them. We expose puppies to real-world experiences--sounds, surfaces, people, other healthy puppies--in a safe, supportive environment. This isn't about "getting along with everyone." It's about building the emotional tools to handle whatever life brings.
Small Groups, Individual Attention. We keep classes intimate so every puppy gets personalized guidane. Because your Chihuahua mix and your Labrador puppy don't need the same experience--they need the right experience for them.
Collaborative Care. As a partnership between LOMA Behavior & Training and your veterinarian, you're getting the gold standard: Behavior experts and veterinary professionals working together for your puppy's wellbeing.

We strongly recommend against dog parks for young puppies. Uncontrolled interactions with unknown dogs can be overwhelming or even traumatic during this sensitive period. Our structured environment ensures every interaction is positive and appropriate.
For safety, we require puppies to be at least 8 weeks and have received their first round of age-appropriate vaccinations. If you're close, give us a call—we can discuss timing!
That's exactly why you're here! This program is specifically designed to help puppies build confidence in a safe, controlled environment. We'll work at your puppy's pace.
We can't make that kind of guarantee because every puppy is a unique being. What we do guarantee: You'll receive expert, science-backed guidance and your puppy will have carefully supervised positive experiences. The rest depends on consistency at home and your puppy's individual temperament.
Of course! Give us a call to arrange a visit (210) 560-3642.
If you need to cancel, please give us 48 hours notice for a full refund. We're a small business and no-shows directly impact our ability to serve other puppies.
Yes! We will match puppy play styles and carefully supervise all puppy play. We want your puppy to be socialized to different different types of puppies, big and small, fast and slow, and to have a good experience during the play portion of the class.
